Chapter 1
The Night of the Weddings
Gravnick’s son, Jonathan and his new bride, Jillian were driving to a
nearby hotel to spend their wedding night when the unexpected happened.
A hijacked armored vehicle, chased by the police, ran a red light in front of
them. Jonathan swerved from the road to avoid what surely would have
been a deadly collision.
He knew instantly, it was a mistake. Before them stood a solid brick and
steel building.Their car smashed headlong into the corner of the structure,
dislodging a weight-bearing beam. Like 9/11, the building collapsed about
them. They did not make it to the hotel that night. Nor did they leave on
their honeymoon trip to Hawaii the next morning.
